Believe it or not Katie has been with us for five months already... and even though I remember that day like if it was yesterday I just cannot think of our lives without her.
In this five months she has developed a lovely smile, six teeth, she learned how to sit, crawl and pull herself up, she has learned to point her nariz (nose), boca (mouth) and ojos (eyes), to wave ciao, to blow kisses, to say papa, guagua (water), George, Condi, si, cu cu cu , ohhhhhhhh (her favorite expression), something that sounds alike "que es eso" (what's that) and other words that I haven't decrypted yet.
During this five months she has earned the love of all of those close and not-so-close to us, of those who thought that our idea of adopting was crazy, those who didn't know what to think and more than anything else she proved everybody what we knew from day one, that we didn't do her a favor, we didn't do any kind of "great action", we were just the lucky, the blessed ones who were honored to be chosen as her forever parents.
So happy 5th month my little angel, you are our blessing, our little treasure, we love you.
