OK, so here's some breaking news for some people, WE'RE EXPECTING A BABY!!! And not, I'm not pregnant, WE'RE ADOPTING A BABY FROM COLOMBIA!
So now that the news are out, here are the answers to the usual questions:
Why? Because we think we have been married long enough to start a family and this is a plan we made since we got married.
Can't we conceive children? To the best of our knowledge, we are completely healthy and capable of conceiving, infertility is not a reason behind this.
Why Colombia? We think American children have a lot of opportunities, I in particular, feel very blessed for having the opportunity of moving to this awesome country and wanted to share this blessing with a fellow Colombian, AKA, our future baby.
Age, gender, photos? We just filed our application or "dossier", before the Colombian Institute of Welfare or ICBF, we were approved for a baby of either gender, age 0 to 3 years old. That's all the information we have at the moment.
When are we getting our baby? We don't know yet, we were told by our representative to figure as if we had just been told we got pregnant, so it will probably be for July 2010.
